The University of Derby came to us seeking a TV advert for their new brand campaign 'Make it Real'. This was not only our biggest project to date, but also the one we were given the most creative control over. Right from the get-go, we emphasized that we wanted to create something that felt large in scope yet deeply personal in substance. Therefore, we set out to find a cast of diverse and talented students to be at the center of our story, working with them and the university to build a narrative that allowed them to express themselves as individuals. The concept was simple, each of our students had to pick a word that best describes how the university makes them feel, as well as a location in Derby that meant something to them. What we were able to deliver with this, was much more profound.
